Home Sensor To Monitor Activities of Daily Living in People With Dementia

Start: September 14, 2020
End: March 2022
Enrollment: 140

What Is This Study About?

This study will test the ability of a continuous monitoring system to assess changes in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) over time in older adults with mild to moderate dementia. ADLs are the daily self-care activities that allow a person to live independently, including eating, bathing, dressing, and getting in and out of a bed or chair. For this 18-month study, researchers will gather information on ADLs both through sensors placed in the participants' home and through questionnaires to compare the two methods.
