This study will examine the effectiveness of problem-solving training to reduce caregiver depression and burden as well as improve caregiver well-being, coping skills, and caregiving confidence. The program teaches caregivers a method to evaluate problems, generate and select solutions, develop goals and action plans, and revise plans as needed. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either three or six training sessions. Half the participants will also receive booster sessions monthly for six months. Researchers will use questionnaires to assess changes in caregiver depression, care burden, social isolation, caregiver confidence, emotional well-being, and other factors related to program engagement and satisfaction.
