Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation To Improve Cognition and Stress Resilience

Start: November 21, 2019
End: December 31, 2021
Enrollment: 60

What Is This Study About?

Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) is a noninvasive way to stimulate parts of the brain using a magnet. This study will test whether rTMS can improve attention, memory, and the ability to recover from stressful situations. Participants will receive up to 10, three-minute rTMS treatments every day over five days. In addition, participants will undergo an MRI brain scan at the start of the study and one week after the intervention. The researchers will also measure cognition, stress resilience, and depression before and after the intervention, within one week, and after one month.
