Virtual Reality Exercise and Cognitive Training Program to Prevent Alzheimer's in At-Risk Older Adults

Start: October 1, 2019
End: October 2021
Enrollment: 96

What Is This Study About?

This study is designed to combine the effects of physical exercise and cognitive training to improve cognition and reduce the risk of Alzheimer's disease (AD). The Phase 2 randomized controlled trial (RCT) will test the effects of Exergame, a combination of virtual reality cognitive training games and stationary bicycle cycling, on cognition, aerobic fitness, and physical function in persons with subjective cognitive decline at risk for developing AD. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of three study groups and participate three times per week for 12 weeks.
